The Yuka Monsters Group is a Pop Culture Powerhouse, built to serve the needs of creators and enthusiasts of heretofore marginalized subcultures. Founded in 2021, YMG is taking mainstream the cultural universe inhabited by Geeks, Makers, Dreamers, Builders and Superheroes. Yuka Monsters’ multi-asset group supports visual and narrative artists and consumers through commercial and non-commercial frameworks.

The vision of Yuka Monsters belongs to Guy Peres. Guy was an extremely talented visual artist whose creative focus was animation and comics. His spirit was free, original, and brilliant – and he had an ingenious plan of sharing it with the world.
We, at the Yuka Monsters Group, are here to see his vision through.
At the core of the Yuka Monsters Group is Israel’s first Concept Store & Cultural Center, in the vibrant, beating heart of Tel Aviv. Yuka Monsters aspires to serve comics, pop culture and geek culture lovers, as well as superhero enthusiasts, by curating nostalgic and modern products and experiences that are absent locally. We offer exclusively imported high-quality, limited-edition books and artifacts from brands from Japan and Asia Pacific, as well as from the US and Europe.
Yuka Monsters also serves as a platform for young, talented creators and students – acting as a unique, interactive hub offering special seminars, workshops, meetups, and lectures, and hosting master classes led by professionals from Israel and around the world.

The Guy Peres Chair at Shenkar College was established in early 2023 to promote excellence in research, education, social activities and academic performance. It is a part of YMG’s non-commercial activities, in collaboration with the Department of Visual Communications at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art.
The Guy Peres Chair at Shenkar College focuses on the intersection between design and algorithms, higher education for computer game design, and creating inclusive opportunities for underprivileged youth in Israel. The Chair consists on four branches:
New Game Design Curriculum
The program consists of a series of eight courses (available to students starting in their second year) and is aimed at helping students master the knowledge required to create video games: interaction, code, character and environment design, 2D and 3D animation and designing 3D spaces.
Parameter – the Center for Creative Coding
Parameter is a center for research and education at the forefront of technologies that incorporate advanced algorithm design. The center will form the foundations for building the knowledge base: visual research using artificial intelligence models.
Social Preparatory Program for Design Program Candidates from the Periphery
The preparatory program is aimed at providing equal opportunities to candidates from Israel’s social and economic periphery as they prepare for the entrance exams to visual communication departments.
Annual Guy Peres Worlds Scholarship
Character design is the first step creators take when they begin creating an imaginary visual world. The Worlds Scholarship will be granted annually to students who demonstrate excellence in this area. The winning projects will be displayed in the department’s gallery.
